Song of River
High wind has blown away the sky
Waves of mutiny have not yet died down
Days have collapsed into the shouts of nights
Will the dark days ever be smiling on their face?
Patches of green still peeping into the silent valley
All have left home in search of life
Fires of pain ravaging in stark haplessness
All souls have fallen at the feet of Mother Nature
Will she smile on these hapless creatures?
Will she not hold them in pride and glory?
She never assures
She never scares lesser mortals
She only consoles all souls with heavenly bliss
So, why so flurry, brethren, why so flurry?
Why so grinding of pains in times of glory
Do not you hear the voice that flickers the light
The light that is spread over the wings of eternity
Do not you see the green patches of hope?
Come, boatmen, do come
Hold your sun and the storms will be away
Sail along the coast of your destiny’s serenity
And you will reach the shore of your life’s journey
Your boat will never run aground against your fate
And Mother Nature will sing songs of river for you.
