Gold and bright rubies have I forsaken
Riches and stone have I none
I bring to you all my faith,
My beauty and grace,
So will you still want me the way I am?

Will you value in me for what I am
Or look for lust and use me
For fulfilling man’s carnal desires,
Then dump me for some others
Who will bring you riches and stone?
Will your heart still wander?
Or have me and me alone.

Now I have found all my riches in
All the gold of the ripening fields
All the jewels in the brightest sunsets,
Sweet music in rippling waters
And the early morn’s bird song.
Wonderful paintings in the landscape
Adorned with inflorescence of every hue
Feeds my appetite and hunger
Will you still want me the way I am?

You cannot share my business as a marriage counsellor and you cannot have my life path...!!!

This piece is in honour of women without a dowry especially those in India. It is not a serious problem for us.
