When you need light, do not use many bulbs of low voltages. Use just one high-voltage bulb.

Do not keep lamp holders empty without bulbs.

If a plug is stuck tightly into a scoket, rub soft pencil lead on to the pins. This will act as a lubricant.

As bulbs lose their power after long use, they must be replaced. You may try to somehow joing the broken filament and use the bulbs. But this may increase its resistance, generate heat and endanger the glass shell.

When the voltage is very high, do not switch on all the bulbs.

While using the electric kettle, put off the switch when the water starts spilling owing to excess boiling.

When working with electric appliances, use footwear with rubber soles, Rubber and wood are insulators of electricity to avoid shocks.

Do not use all the electrical appliances in the house at the same time.

Have wooden or bakelite handles for electrical appliances, as these insulators of electricity. If you life on upper floors, do not touch any electric wire which may be reachable heights.
