Biography
Meenakshi Seshadri, Indian film actress, was born on 13 November. The exact year of her birth is not known. Her real name is Shashikala Sheshadri. Her father was an employee of the Sindri Fertiliser plant.

She is married to investment banker, Harish Mysore, and is settled in Texas, USA where she teaches Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Odissi. Their courtship stretched over 15 months and two continents. She now has two children, daughter Kendra and son Sanjosh.

Her debut film was Ghazab in 1982 but her first hit film was Hero, in 1983. Director Raj Kumar Santoshi is said to have been interested in her but she apparently rejected his marriage proposal. She acted in her last film Ghatak in 1997. In her 15-year career in the film industry she acted in 63 films.

Her most notable performances were in Hero, Meri Jung (1985), Shehenshah (1988), Ghayal (1990), Damini (1993).
