There are more women in business now than ever before. And many of us have found success. For those of you who are still looking for your particular niche read on.

There are hundreds of possible work at home careers and part time career listings out there. Choosing one can be difficult and confusing. They all "guarantee" to make you a fortune almost overnight. If you want to be successful, forget about the numbers and the promises and just pick one that you are actually passionate about, create a solid marketing plan and stick with it.

Believe that it can't be that simple? Think of all the silly infomercial products out there? These product inventors and marketers make millions. Now if she can sell all those crazy inventions to an unsuspecting public, contemplate what kind of cash can be earned by deciding upon a product that you really believe in.

When choosing your home based business look at these factors:

1) Is the company and product one that you can feel good representing?
2) Does it have a marketing and business plan laid out for you step by step?
3) Is the person bringing you into the company ready, willing and able to lead you to success?
4) Can you pick up the phone or send an email and get a response in 24 hours or less?
5) Is the cost of the item that you are selling large enough to cover your expenses and still leave you with a profit?

It almost doesn't matter which opportunity you choose out of all the possible work from home opportunities and job listings. The main thing is to pick one, create a solid marketing plan and stick with it. Remember the Pet Rock? The creator of that silly object made millions. Now if he can sell a rock to an unsuspecting public what could you do with a solid product, that you can be proud of?

After you have picked your niche stop buying every other opportunity that you find. They will all look good to you in the beginning, especially if you don't see initial success with the one you chose. Hand your credit card over to a trusted friend or family member and bring your focus and your energy back to your initial passion.

Here is a helpful technique that will guide you and help explode your profits. Put a post it on your computer that says, "What business am I in?" Then hand your credit card over to someone that you trust. If you want to make an online purchase you must explain to this person what it is that you are buying and exactly how it will help your online business succeed. You are not allowed to purchase any other "million dollar idea."

Set a daily plan of action detailing exactly what you need to accomplish to move your business forward. Also outline a weekly and monthly plan. You need to fully visualize the big picture and the small details.

The last thing to remember is to distribute the day to day tasks of your work from home business. Women in business tend to want to multi-task and do everything ourselves. This is counterproductive.

Deligate the things that take up most of your time but don't actually bring in revenue. You may want to hire someone to return emails,answer the phones, handle customer service issues, etc... These jobs are all very important to your online business but your main job is to market your work at home opportunity.
