How to make a cage for love birds?

I want to rare some love birds to add aesthetics to my front yard in my house. I just started to explore simple ways to make a cage. It was not too difficult, but not easy. It needs some wooden planks, reapers, nails, wire nets and some plastic sheets, of course, the help of a carpenter.

o You need to make an outer wooden frame of 30 inches width x 48 inches length x 36 inches height. This is made with 2” square wooden reapers.

o The bottom and the top of the cage are closed with wooden planks.

o All other sides are to be covered with wire nets.

o The front and the sides except the back will have small doors for accessing the birds.

o In side the cage some small cylindrical wooden reapers are tied to hung for the love birds to play on bars.

o I made a small ladder with two one inch square poles kept parallel at about 4 inches, with steps made with same square reapers each arranged at 2 inches distance.

o The ladder will be useful for the love birds to climb and play. The long thin wooden polls and dried twigs kept inside will be useful for sitting and chatting.

o The love birds will take advantage of every thing to make love with their counterparts with out fail.

o There are small mud-pots with circular holes at the sides are kept one on the other in two or three tiers. This is meant for brooding and breeding of the hatched young ones.

o There are two trays one to hold minor millets as feeds and the other for water for drinking. Sometimes the love birds prefer to take bath also.

o One plastic sheet is used for covering the wooden floor inside for collecting the droppings and waste feeds; and the other on the roof outside to protect the cage from rain.

Now the cage for the love birds is almost ready.

It is of 2½ ft. width. x 4 ft. length. x 3ft height in size. It will accommodate up to 20 pairs of love birds. You need to procure colorful love birds and leave them inside.

The rearing of love birds adds beauty to the atmosphere primarily and helps in money making too in course of time.
