Mineral water the other side of life

As the word Mineral water comes in our mind, we get a picture of different brands of water bottles available in the market, Bus stand, Railway station etc. Normally people buy this mineral water thinking in their mind that it is real mineral water, but the reality is totally different. Most of these brands are either plain tap water or the filter water, and that is why the government too banned the companies using the word ‘mineral’ in their labels and instructed to use ‘packaged drinking water’. Now the question arises what Mineral water is all about or what exactly is mineral water?

Mineral waters are so called because of the mineral they contain and which are good for health. Mineral water may be Still or Sparkling (with effervescence). Natural mineral water comes from natural springs, if it is unadulterated. If the effervescence is natural they are naturally sparkling. At time, carbon dioxide is injected for the effervescence. Many mineral waters are simply tap water with minerals and aerated by the manufacturer. Aerated mineral waters are made from purified waters mixed with carbon dioxide.

Natural waters are usually named after their origin. Evian, Perrier and Vichy are natural mineral water from France (Evian is still, while Perrier and Vichy are naturally sparkling). Bisleri is an Italian brand, made under license in Australia. At times mineral waters may be flavoured with fruit juices. It is a multi facet beverage may be used as refreshing, cleansing beverage or mixed.

So next time when you buy a bottled water, try the natural mineral water like Evian and feels the difference in taste and refreshness, but this is also a fact that it costs heavily on pocket as 500 ml water will cost you around Rs 45/-, but I can bet that after experiencing the real mineral water you wont like to drink you normal filtered water.
