Al-Zawahri has threatend Libya in an audio tape
Al-Zawahri Al-Qaida's No. 2 figure harshly criticized Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi in a new audio tape Saturday, accusing him of being an enemy of Islam and threatening a wave of attacks against the North African country.
Back in the 1980’s Libya was a enemy of the United States in fact The United States actually carried out air strikes against Libya in 1986. However after 9-11 Gadhafi decided it was in the best interest of Libya to be on the side of the Untied States in the war on terror.
Because of Moammar Gadhafi’s continued willingness to work with the United States, Libya has now been removed form the list on nations who sponsor terrorism. Apparently this has upset Al-Zawahri but then again Al-Zawahri is always upset.
