Spirituality is about connecting with the force

Spirituality is about connecting with the force. Though i'm not a great believer in idol worship, i do believe that a certain force is responsible for making things tick. I'm not a huge enthusiast about places of worship but i do believe in being grateful for all that i have received.

In our quest for all things material, i think we humans forget the little blessings we are born with. To be born healthy with all limbs intact is a miracle in itself. To have a family and a roof over one's head is another. We have started taking nature's bounty for granted. When was the last time we were thankful for a beautiful sunset or a blossoming flower?

It's quite the routine to think of the force above in times of extreme sorrow or joy. For me, a rough patch is a time to introspect. Also, when i'm down and out, i tend to question the basis of many things. Whatever field i am in, i have never ever cared about how somebody else is doing and based my life on it. While i consciously try to appreciate others' efforts, i ensure that my own view of people is not made on the basis of success or failure. I strongly try and inculcate within myself the intent of not wanting returns for my actions.

My family has been extremely instrumental in making me who i am. They have always taught me that being a good person is more important than being successful. I have always judged myself and my performances. And as long as i'm satisfied, i consider myself successful. Plus, my parents have always made me realise that one can never be happy by showing somebody else down.
I get my sense of balance from my dad. Being a doctor, he has seen suffering from very close quarters. His calm, unruffled demeanour influenced me quite a bit.

Your philosophy is quite

Your philosophy is quite accurate., "a rough patch is a time to introspect" ... I fully agree with you on this. One cannot put the blame solely on the Force for all your rough patches. The blame is ours as we walked in with our eyes wide open. We walked in hoping to gain something which is only human nature. So if we took the short cut to hell it is our own fault and is a good time to examine our inner selves to see how we can gain long term if we walk the right path.

My Message of the Day is:
Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.
Have a nice day!

God teaches

us to believe in his creation. We must love everything made by God and thank him for what we are. God is a power which is above us and it is shapeless. Idols are the result of our imagination.
