Never enjoy a rainbow

vijayanths's picture

I saw a rainbow in my sky
It was so beautiful to my eye

I was so stunned at its beauty
I forgot to do my duty

And I could not take my eye from the bow
So I simply kept on telling woow

Wondered if I could place it in my bedroom wall
To bring back my laughter that was gone

The joy was so high as I felt the new blood in my veins
Every cell in my body loved it to forget the past pains

But what a fool I am to think it an eternal bliss
Ho,it disappeared suddenly making me to miss

I thank you dear bow,for the boundless joy you showered on me
And for impressing me like a short poem of powerful words,

Now you are gone ,but when will I stop looking at the top?
The joy was great, when you were there,

But do you know the pain now is greater than the death?
You taught me a lesson to day that

If rain live short, their bows shorter,
Never enjoy a rainbow if you can not cope up with its absence.

Oh Viji how sad!

Reminds me of this song? I heard way back...catcha falling star and put it in your pocket and never let it fade away... so you placed your rainbow in the cuddles of your heart but did not nurture it enough to allow it to glow brighter in vibgoyr. So its sunshine and laughter that you need to catch your rainbow and make it glow. So wish upon a star that your rainbow will shine on your Venus!

My Message of the Day is:
Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.
Have a nice day!

Don't be negative friend,

There are many more things like rainbow, if you collect all these small joys, you will get a big world of happiness.Collect every bit of joy,to make life happy.

Thanks for your advice Vaishali

I just wanted to register here that never long for anything which is short lived(Or it could be a rememberance of a short lived love?)

Anything which gave you so much joy,

though it was short lived, must be preserved in heart, may it be rainbow or love and learn to live with its sweet memeories, but i agree with you that if you can't bear its absence, then better don't go for it.

Vaishali, you should have told me this before I saw the rainbow

Now the absence is felt. You seem to give very good advices ,hmmm Own experiences?
