Can we remain - ' JUST GOOD FRIENDS?'

After spending a long run relationship which was much more than a friendship,some couples/lovers,say to each other, in a very polite way, "CAN WE REMAIN JUST GOOD FRIENDS?". How stupid of them,don't you think thats the insult of friendship?
Friendship also involves caring, loving, sharing emotions, and if you really remain friends following all the rules of friendship, there are every chances of returning back of those older emotions.
Conceal the feelings in your heart forever,and don't give air to the hidden sparks to avoid a big fire.
Maybe the reasons of separation are genuine,sometimes it is due to lack of feelings for each other,sometimes it is hatred for each other, sometimes also for the well-being of each other. But if you have decided to separate,just say GOOD BYE and never turn back, thats all, don't wrap the dead relationship in the fresh wrapper of friendship.
Some sweet memories of past will induce you to call him/her sometimes but never do that, let him/her be happy in his world and you in yours........

Yes it is well written. You will go places.
But I have to disagree with you. I know people who have parted from one level and are best friends. You see once you are in a relationship you get to know each other so well, then you begin to see why you need to part. You may not be compatible any longer. Generally a balance is met with the opposites and not with similarities. Each of you in a relationship will know what to expect from the other. So in continuing a friendship you may still be able to support each other when there is a need to in facing the problems of the world. I don't mean that you need to get back to old relationships. Leave the emotional side out. Give each other the space and the respect. Don't let jealousies come in the way and don't keep grudges. Your friend may have some qualities that you can benefit from and visa versa.

put your best foot forward with confidence and write what comes into your head. You find inspiration from the articles here itself or from a comment, carry on from there. A tip when writing always check for grammatical errors, punctuation and try using new words. Let your imagination run riot. You will find how well you can improve, maybe go on to writing a good book!
