Why a woman is not allowed to stay at home. The word” SOCIETY” is thrown around as if it is a person that exist and we are all waiting for its decisions on what we are suppose to do next. “Society” for most of modern times told women that they could not work. This was seen as a slap in the face to men. It meant that the man could not provide for the woman’s needs. But how did the right to work turn into a requirement that a women must work? When women rightly so received the right to work, it was a wonderful thing that “Society” accepted. The key issue that was lost here is the “right” to work. We must really be careful when we wait for others to tell us what is acceptable; this goes for dating as well.

Unfortunately a trick was played on women by “Society”. The same funny looks and comments that were given to women who wanted to go to work 40 years ago are now the same looks the stay at home woman gets. Let us answer why this is. Most people allow “Society” or mainly the media to decide what is normal. But remember the media only thinks in group-consciousness because this is the best way to sell an idea (Control?). Basically the philosophy is “Everyone is doing this. And so should you” I have worked with so many women who told me they would rather be at home. It was a little bit of forbidden fruit at first; some took a job to show those men who said they couldn’t.

Many women site the fact that two incomes are needed in this day but that is not the issue here. The issue is that a no one should have to apologize for wanting to stay at home. You will not find a mate living in a way that is contrary to your true self and if you do this the relationship will contain much suffering. Remember do not wait for “Society”…you are “Society”. This is why we revere people like Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. They recognized that the fear of speaking against group consciousness is liberating and it allows us all to be more. It allows love to expand and the Universe. If your heart tells you to stay home then proudly stay at home, this applies to men and women, never apologize to a “Society” you are “Society”.
