THE SWAN SONG
THE SWAN SONG
The swan was once thought to be sacred in many parts of the world and so they said that its eggs were supposed to only hatch out during a storm, as it needed the thunder and lightning to help it crack open the tough eggshells.
The swans themselves were said to fly away out to sea when their end was near and there they would sing a beautiful song until they died.
Ever wondered where the expression ‘swan song’ came from? We still use the expression probably without knowing where it first originated.

When a woodpecker cries repeatedly it is when rain is in the air. Carry a beak of a woodpecker in your pocket and you will never be stung by bees or wasps.
