Useless or Useful?

Salt again !!!.
Padmini’s article reminded me of the great importance of salt.
No, I am not adding on to her article.
This is altogether a different thought. Think of it if salt looses its saltiness? What is the use of it then? Salt is one of those things which is very inexpensive. It can be bought very easily, yet is the most important thing in the kitchen.
Without salt there is no taste in the food. The newly married husband may push the food away if the new wife has forgotten to apply the right amount of salt.
Salt is also used in warm water for gurgling, so it has some healing capacity too.
The Romans in the ancient times used salt as a part of sacrifice in the alter.
A wonderful lesson can be learnt from salt. A person with great wealth, influence, power and appearance if lacks the virtues of a good character, then he or she is like the salt without saltiness. Salt without saltiness is useless and worthless.
A life without love, patience, integrity, faith, peace, generosity, willingness to forgive attitude and the other virtues is useless and of little use. With out the above virtues we may live but never can be a useful vessel for others just like salt is useful
