Google's Chrome in attack: Will Chrome beat Internet Explorer?

netcrawl's picture

Chrome is Google’s latest salvo in the much anticipated browsers war. It is the Google’s weapon of choice in its bid to become the leader of all internet. When Chrome was launched in September its taken center stage and generated shock waves that struck almost every corners of the web, even the mighty Microsoft was stunned. Chrome is a piece of technology, it got the power, speed, stability and sophisticated technology that could put competitors on shame. The company claims that Chrome was designed to make browsing the web faster, safer and easier, it is an open source browser based on Webkits and powered by Google Gears. Chrome aims to improve user’s web experience, it got simple clean, minimalist design and efficient user interface, and this is only a part of a much bigger web strategy. Google is betting hard on Chrome, the search company wants to steal the spotlight away from Microsoft Internet Explorer, the dominant web browser. The launched of Google’s Chrome has already sparked a new internet browsers war, something much brutal and intense battle, this time it’s Google vs. Microsoft. Google has just announced that it’s doing a deal for PC manufacturers to pre-install Chrome in every shipped PC, part of the deal includes also distribution, Google is preparing to unload the full power of Chrome and its bringing its own weight behind it, the company has just started to make the “ heavy works”. What Google is doing here is to mimic Microsoft’s strategy during the browsers war. For Google the deal with PC manufacturers is the most favored solution to catch up Microsoft browser market share and eventually beat the software company. Google must take a lesson from Windows and Internet Explorer monopoly, Microsoft industry leading browser, Internet Explorer is a smash. Because PC makers pre-installed Internet Explorer, it lays the foundation for Microsoft total software domination, a monopoly was born. This is how exactly Microsoft crushed Netscape during the browsers war. The reality about the new browsers war, Google must do something about Chrome, its not just about advertising or sophisticated technology, Google musty learn what really Microsoft done during the Microsoft-Netscape browsers clash. Microsoft got edge here and surely ahead in this kind of technological battle, it got monopoly and huge head start, it won’t be easy for Chrome to beat Internet Explorer unless Google do some “creative works”. Chrome could be the fastest product to leave the beta and I was pretty amazed and shocked about Google’s decision to ready Chrome for battle. But Chrome is not alone, Google must also take on to one time partner Mozilla, the folks behind Firefox, the second most popular browser in the web and the most distant competitor to Microsoft, with an estimated 20% market share Mozilla Firefox is the only browser as of now could threaten Microsoft browser dominance, it got a rapid growth, impressive market share and no sign of slowdown. This could be a brutal fight for Chrome. Firefox is a tough player, it s already hit 1 Billion downloads of add-on software for browser. Is chrome really prepared for battle? Chrome need to passed Mozilla Firefox and steal its number, to able to move closer to Microsoft Internet Explorer. This could be tough game for Google’s Chrome those Mozilla fans out there will not going to give up and move to Chrome. Well, we just have to wait and see.
