Aims of liver detoxification

Liver detoxification should be aimed at achieving the optimum results as follows-
To support proper liver function, which includes cholesterol regulation, maintaining enzyme levels, and optimizing food assimilation there by providing nutrition support necessary for liver regeneration. To cleanse toxins of the liver caused by food, chemicals, additives, and preservatives, airborne pollutants and environmental hazards. And promote the neutralization of poisonous substances, the metabolism of alcohol, and resistance to infection.
Keep your liver friendly always
One could keep their cleansing organs in order by following certain habits daily and some by seasonal cleansing procedures and when the body demands detoxification manifesting the above symptoms.
· Avoid preserved, packaged food as much as possible. Include fresh fruits and vegetables in daily diet.
· Ginger, lemon, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cloves, pepper, cinnamon are best taken in small quantities daily.
· Try to eat only when hungry if not avoid eating. Snacking hampers digestion.
· Alcohol, smoking, fats, caffeine, excessive spices, salted edibles, cokes are best avoided.
· Drink sufficient water, fresh fruit juices according to your climate, age and occupation. Consuming lassi (buttermilk) seasoned with coriander, curry leaves, ginger helps.
· Fasting systematically once a fortnight is advised. One can reap better results by fasting after consulting a professional.
· Food with high calories is always best restricted. If consumed the next meal should be skipped or limited.
· Regular practice of yoga (under supervision or after learning) and strolling after meals helps.
· Drugs prescribed or otherwise can harm your liver. Check with your doctor before taking any drug.
· Regular practice of exercises, especially different forms of yoga have been of immense benefit.
