MARTTI AHTISAARI WINS 2008 NOBLE PEACE PRIZE
Mr.Matti Ahtisaari, the former president of Finland has received Nobel peace prize 2008. Mr. Ahtisaari has been a possible winner several times earlier. Mr. Ahtisaari has worked at Aceh and with Kosovo. A week ago he received the UNESCO Peace Prize.
Previously three Finns have received Nobel prize.1939 Frans Emil Sillanpää, literature "for his deep understanding of his country's peasantry and the exquisite art with which he has portrayed their way of life and their relationship with nature"
1945, Artturi I. Virtanen, chemistry "for his research and inventions in agricultural and nutrition chemistry, especially for his fodder preservation method"
1967, Ragnar A. Granit, physiology"for their discoveries concerning the primary physiological and chemical visual processes in the eye"

Martti Oiva Kalevi Ahtisaari; born June 23, 1937 in Viipuri, Finland a former President of Finland (1994–2000) and a UN diplomat and mediator, he is famous for his international peace work.
