TIRED ALL THE TIME SYNDROME

Are you always feeling tired and failing to sleep? Do you wonder why?

Chronic tiredness is common and it has many causes. It is sometimes linked to serious diseases such as anemia and thyroid problems but that is not always the case.

You just have to make small lifestyle changes to avoid it.

The common reason for chronic tiredness is lack of sleep. Five or six hours sleep a night is not enough and will lead to the build up of chronic sleep deficit in just a few weeks.

Do you wonder why sometimes you struggle to sleep when you are very tired?
The best solution is to practice sleep hygiene.
- Set up a bedtime routine.
- Go to bed at the same time each night and try to get eight hours each night.
- Try having a hot bath, soothing music, a warm milky drink and a slightly dull or boring book.
- Practice some regular aerobic exercise and avoid alcohol because it might help you to fall asleep but will leave you feeling anxious by waking you up just a few hours after you slept.
- Avoid eating a huge evening meal, drinking caffeine containing drinks e.g. tea and coffee and avoid working in bed and having a TV in the bedroom.

If the tiredness and sleep disorder persists even after trying the above tips then you should consult your doctor.
