Gone are the days when the women were confined to household chores and to managing the children only. Even in the rural areas the women are breaking the shackles and are coming out of their veils. One thing which has made the difference is “EDUCATION”. Literacy has paved the way towards bright future and has widen the horizon of their capabilities which were earlier could not be harnessed. Especially the city women are getting more goal-oriented.
More and more girls are getting motivated by their role models like Indira Gandhi, Sarojini Naidu. Kalpana Chawla, Sania Mirza and Sunita Williams. Although the Indian women have now started representing the country on the world stage but still the percentage of successful women is quite less in comparison to European nations. The narrow-mindedness prevailing in the villages is still a thorn in the flesh. Apart from this the infrastructure for women education needs to be updated through continuous awareness campaigns. If the women keep on working at par with the men-folk surely the country will bloom.
