HOW TO SECURE YOUR MONEY AT THE ATM

It is rare to be robbed at an ATM but it has happened to a number of people and I have learnt a lesson from it. This is how it happened.

One day a woman who was on her way to work stopped by an ATM to withdraw some money. She inserted her card into the correct slot and punched in the correct PIN but nothing happened.

A wierd looking man standing near to her asked her to try punching her PIN again but she asked to leave her alone which he did. She then pressed the CANCEL key but still nothing happened. She kept pressing the same key till a message appeared telling her that her card had been retained.

So she just left and went on to work and called the bank and asked them to put the card on hold.

Later that same day she went to the bank to get her card back but they told her it was not in the ATM. She asked for an account activity statement and it showed that withdrawal was made the same day after the card got lost.

She later found out that there was a man who usually jammed the ATM slot with something before anyone got there and then watched and memorised the pin number then got the card out and made a withdrawal.

Never use the ATM when someone is standing close by and always shield the keypad when putting in your pin.

Always notify your bank immediatly your card gets lost.
