Are women devil?

Edema, a middle cadre civil servant has misunderstanding with Theresa, his wife over feeding allowance.

He gives her ten thousand naira, about $90, as monthly feeding allowance for their family of five - the couple and three children.

But in recent time, the amount could no longer feed the family for the period owing to rise in prices of food items.

Entreaties by Theresa for the amount to be increased to be able to take care of the family feeding for the 30 days period fell on deaf ears.

Rather, Edema became aggressive threatening to deal with Theresa if she fails to manage the amount.

Theresa who could not understand her husband's fury over her request to increase the feeding allowance in face of rising cost of living wanted this issue sorted out through dialogue. However, her husband would not budge.

One morning in the middle of July, Theresa complained that she had exhausted the money and that there would be no meal for the family henceforth unless her husband gives her some money.

As Edema made to step out for work that morning without giving Theresa any money, she ran ahead to barricade the gate, to prevent him from going out.

Edema grabbed Theresa in order to brush her aside. And as they
struggle, Edema fell,cuturally, this is an abomination

When he stood up, he thundered: "Theresa, if you like, pack and go. Leave my children for me. You are a devil. Women are devil."

This seems to be the impression of so many men about women. They
call them devil. Are women devil? Have you called your wife
or girlfriend or financee, a devil?

Women are susceptible to deceit. In the begining of creation
the devil deceived Eve and influenced her to deceive her
husband, Adam.

In Ecclessiates, one of the books of the Bible, Eccl. 7:28,
the wiseman observed there was one righteous man among a thousand
but could not find one righteous woman among a thousand.

Many men see women as hardened, unforgiving, tempramental
and vengeful. Do all these make them devil?

They are most suitable help mean for men. Without women,
life would seem incomplete for men, Wives for men,
bear their children, keep their homes.

Women must be indispensible devil for the men. Almost all
men cannot do without women. Even King David in his dying
old age needed one to keep warm.

Men lavished the reward of their labour on women. A woman may be
a devil to man but another will not at same time. They could be
sweet, they could be bitter.
