Whose Child this?

It is in the cases of dispute between the husband and wife that the children are made to suffer, for no fault of theirs. Mother by natural default is the best care taker of a child. If a child is handicapped or has some physical disability then also it is the mother who can be the best possible help for the child.

It is in the cases of disputed marriages or divorce cases that the legal angle comes into fore play and decides about the future and destiny of the child. If the mother is a natural guardian, then the father could be powerful and influential to take the custody of the child. In some cases the father is the sole earner of the family then it becomes very difficult even for the court to decide the custody of child.

Some times the woman gets the custody of her child forcibly, but she is not capable of bringing up the child, due to her preoccupation or busy schedule. She may be earning much more than her husband but doesn’t have the time to devote to the child.

Many a times the mother hasn’t enough money to support herself and the kids, then too it is the children who suffer.

Mother’s care and fathers love and affection are the both things a child requires essentially in his/her childhood. Although a child is loved by both his parents but it is the cruel destiny which forces the child to decide his guardian. It is beyond doubt that a child’s happiness lies in the harmony of their parents if they live in a blissful conjugal harmony.
