No faith on local police
All people who are powerful and have got some stay, when involved in a criminal case, they shall demand CBI probe and shall not be satisfied with the local police. Actually they are with one and the same excuse that the case has been registered against them on political grounds and the ruling party wants to take revenge from him. They know that the local police shall be deciding the case against them and therefore, they start demanding CBI investigation and till that investigation is completed the government goes and there are chances that the old set of people shall come again in power. Even others who are involved in grave cases, they also start demanding CBI investigation. The people are coming forward that this local police remains silent when the ruling people are indulging in scams, scandals, muddles, sale of jobs, sale of licences, sale of quotas and are making money in one way or the other and it is quite clear that they are amassing money and assets beyond their recognised sources of income. But the police remains silent because they are no in a position to catch the bosses and when the government changes, immediately the same police starts registering criminal cases against the people leaving the power and collecting evidence against them. So the things are very clear here in India that the local police is always under pressures and they cannot register cases against the people who are in power and remain silent till the government changes and sometime they take so much time in investigation that the new change comes and the cases are either dropped or withdrawn or are so weak that most of the people get acquittal. That is the reason these jails in India are meant for only poor and weak people and all rich and powerful people do not go to these jails and if they go, these jails are turned into three star hotels or five star hotels and often these big people are found living in their own houses or in hospital to complete the tenure of jail.

No faith on local police
I agree with you what you have said about the police.They become the henchmen of the ruling party.Only in rare cases they remain unbiased.That's why so as to have an unbiased investigation people demand CBI intervention at every possible opportunity, especially in sensitive matters which requires a thorough probe and investigation requiring interstate subject or matter.Thank you.rabasure
