Cuddle of Dawn
As I awake turn my sight to sky
A mingling feeling always lingers,
A midnight reverie keeps knocking
And reminisce of a face still I can’t erase,
The one that makes my heart pound
And makes me shiver at noon
.
Time after time I’ve frittered floods of ink
Etched tons of words I’ve kept in my pulses’ pouch,
My assiduous hands don’t know the world exhausted
Inscribed millions of letters the plain manuscript
And I’ve emptied the brimming poetic jar
Just to breath out my most inward thoughts.
Trees go on and fall its leaves
But still I wait in hands of tranquility,
And my precious dream will be at my sight,
Walking in the fields of lilies and roses
See the glint like gems in her entrancing eyes.
Still I bear in mind of mouth unfasten sound
And engrave deep in retaining stone,
Though mist keeps my windows shut
And hiding the gleaming face of certitude
Still I strike to reach the pavement of assertion
And keep my feet halt in slippery grass.
As pendulum keeps swinging in space
Still whirlwind of questions keeps turning,
Why such a lad believe in his trance
And hold word in his arm firmly?
Will I find diamond’s sparkle in field of haze?
Can I find the answer in finger in rain?
Still I wonder how fate would help
Or it will bring a hitting stone to me,
Expecting both eyes will stare in same space
A strike with pebble to lofty moon
Though it is blurred in my eagle eyes
To make you feel the way I feel for you
I take an intrepid step on the line
Keep chest hard as the unbreakable steel
Put aside the fear that the heart could be torn
And don’t mind the pain of failing.
It is foolish in some stickler sight and say
It’s like chasing the appendage of a falling star
To walk out of shell and turn the wheel
Without having arrow hit middle,
All the answers to my queries are all in the hands
Of the one whom I borrow my very breath,
And if you will not shut your door to me
Steadfast and unconditional love I’ll bestow.
