With the tremendous increase in access to internet globally, Internet fraud has increased many folds. Today there is a widespread prevalence of crooks and swindlers who are actively involved in net malfeasance.

It is not that only internet is to be entirely blamed, as a little carefulness would show that it also provides guidelines on how not to fall a trap to this mushrooming business.

The business of looting innocent users is thriving through various modes, like email posts, exciting offers of sale, mind boggling sale opportunities of consumer products and not to forget auction deals which are most prevalent on net today.

The most vulnerable among the ignorant masses are those belonging to the lower strata of the society, who are easily taken in and always obey to the instructions of the fraudsters with every caution and sincerity.

Mostly people are informed on phone or by e-mail that they have won huge prizes and they are the chosen lucky ones to receive this special reward. But they are cautioned as there is a time limit and they must do certain things to ensure their interest in the prize.

Most of the people just don’t believe their luck and are overwhelmed by the mail or information. Some sites ask for identity in the form of complete Bio-data along with photos and email ID and not to forget their bank details. They are slowly lured towards the trap by asking to deposit some charges in a particular bank which are required to meet the basic requirements.

It is then that these scoundrels very dubiously make money through the schemes floated by them leaving their prey high and dry.
