Life after 40
“Life begins to end at forty”. When I reached forty I perceived myself slowly becoming depressed. I felt I am old, obsolete, unhappy, uninterested in the things that I usually love to do. Always worrying about a lot of things, thinking of getting old.
I have read from the book that these are all signs of depression.
Confused, I consulted an expert regarding my situation and the findings includes spiritual depravation. Then I was clarified and enlightened.
Then comes the turning point: after all the weighing, analysis I decided to take a positive approach/outlook that is – to look only at the lighter side of life.
I look for hobbies such as fashion designing. I design my own clothes.
I enrolled in extramural course , hit the gym, change lifestyle, and started doing good to others or PLANT GOOD SEEDS to make people happy.
Everything followed- my illness, headaches and depression gone!
Indeed, being happy is a choice. If you want to be happy, choose to be happy. If you always think you are not happy then you will be unhappy. I think this has something to do with mind control. I chose to believe that our mind can control our body. It is very powerful.
Now with God’s grace I am slowly gearing towards my goals for now- grow old happily and gracefully!
