Buying Dresses

When it comes to the question of buying new dresses, I am very particular about shades. I am ready to travel in 100 shops, to get the right tint of my choice.

Generally, I like dark colour for pants and light colour for shirts. That’s why most of my pants are either fully black, or with stripes on black background. I have even jean pants in black shade.

As far as shirts are concerned, I like light blue or yellow or brown. I hardly have purchased any striped shirt. I remember, years back once I bought a green cotton shirt with flowers drawn on it throughout.

Those days, mostly I used to get my dresses stitched by some tailor. However, this is the era of readymade garments. Readymade garments are cheaper than stitched clothes. Moreover, it saves time for going to buy clothes, then going to tailor’s shop, again going there for trial, then the last visit for taking delivery.

In this age of rushing and running, who will do that? But, it is true that in stitched clothes, things are tailor-made. Whereas in readymade garments’ shop, if the shade is attractive – may be the buttons are not, if the cloth is good – may be the chain is not, somehow very rarely all the parameters are acceptable.

Thus, I realize, this is also the age of adjustment and compromise. Be choosy, lots of alternatives are there. However, be prepared too to compromise at some or other point. That’s very essential to be a happy buyer.
