In a World Against Child Labour

Childlabour is the practice of employing young children in the factories and industries. Many children are employed globally in utter violation of the ‘Child Labor’ laws.

Every year we celebrate World anti child labour day which is specifically designated to fight for the cause of small children working for two square meals but seldom do we recognize the gravity of the situation.

Children of ages and in all cultures often join their parents to work in the fields, in the marketplace, and around the home as soon as they are old enough to perform simple tasks. The child labor is now regarded a social problem globally.

Small children in utter despair are neglected by the parents as well as the employers alike as far as their health and hygiene is concerned. Most of them are frail and timid and unable to express themselves clearly, what to talk of their rights and opportunities.

The young ones are the earning hands of the entire family and bread winners in the real sense. Often their fathers are addicted to some social menace like alcohol or drugs or are in the habit of spending in lotteries.

The minors use to work in the dungeons and mire like conditions like bangle units or crackers manufacturing factories where they even denote get enough to eat and the place is more of a hell and effects their health badly.

Often they have to sleep empty stomach. Nevertheless the children are hopeful in this hypocrite society that the day is not far away when their dreams would be realized and they would be able to lay their hands on the books of history and know that the world is meant to be a far better place to live in.

dhawanbm, it is indeed vey

dhawanbm, it is indeed vey sad and what is sadder is the fact thatthey are raised with the belief system that they have to work. even if u ty to dissuade them they'll run away to work elsewhere. only voicing is not enough. govt has to take some steps keeping in view their mindset.for their families, the equation is more children=more income. govt has to seep down to the level of thinking of a penniless labourer and then take measures.

Wishing you happiness always!

Wishing you happiness always!

dhawanbm, a real social issue brought to light

Not all countries practise child labour. The country I live in does not have cases of this kind. But I remember watching a hindi movie based on this theme and it was very pathetic, the way children were victimised by the perpetrators of this form of crime. I feel that the public should voice out in unison their contempt and disapproval of such crimes against innocent children.

ture shobhan the sorry state of miserable children is not

understood by anyone. Neither government nor NGOs lend words for thier betterment. their plight speaks volumes....
