Problems faced by Man Today
The Earth and all in it, does not belong to any one man or beast. It belongs to a higher being which we all call The Almighty. Yet most of us, in fact all of us, claim to own something of It. Though The Almighty, is the Owner, He/She/It does not show or indicate total control of the Earth and Its resources directly. He/She/It has allowed all things alive, Man and beast alike to feel at home on this Earth. The beast uses all things on this Earth with respect and is controlled. Why I say so can be clarified by using the food chain as my example. The lion that predates on the deer which feeds on the grass will not attack another deer when its stomach is full. Likewise the deer will stop feeding on the grass when its stomach is full. Man, on his part kills the lion and the deer if not for the food but for sport. He would kill these animals also to decorate his home or himself.
If we look deeply, whatever we think we own, belongs to us only temporarily, even our bodies! The matter that builds our bodies returns to the Earth and is recycled to form other bodies or forms of matter, living and non living. Man in his arrogance has totally ignored the role of The Almighty in controlling all that that belongs to Man.
How far can Man go with his ignorance and arrogance? Can he go on forever or will there be a limit to his egocentricity? How can Man make up for all his follies? Can it be done through prayers or through repentance? These are the questions that every man should ask and try to solve.
I have no answer to these questions myself because I know that I cannot solve the Earth's problems on my own. Every man who tries to answer these questions are bound to think the way I do. So where is the answer and the solution?
Why have we ended up this way? It is because Man has no real wisdom at all. I know that Man is not capable of all the knowledge, but he is capable of having enough wisdom to recognise that he has to return everything that he owns on this Earth before he dies. Nothing he owns will follow him into the afterlife, so why the greed for wealth and more wealth? It is this greed for accumulation of wealth that has caused so much problems that the Earth faces today!
