Do you have a Mobile Phone?

“Why don’t you have a mobile phone, Sir”? Asked one of my close acquaintances, to which I replied that I don’t feel like having one, not because I pretend to be a wise or pose as unusual.
I said that there are two chief reasons for this….
The first being I don’t really like mobiles and because I find, I can still work and play, eat and breathe with absolute freedom and sleep without any disturbance. The second being that I felt the mobiles to be pests which eat on your money and time and over all they are time wasters.
Mobiles are unnecessary and very very irritating. When you are waiting for an expected call that doesn’t come for a long time, you get excited as well as irritated at the delay. On the same when you keep ringing the same number again and again, it is very likely that it is always engaged. And very musing to note that the wrong number when we call is accessed at once, adding to one’s frustration.
“Sir, then how do you communicate”? Asked my friend. I said, “Well it is as expected I do have a personal telephone rather landline and more of I write an awful lot of letters. It is the delight of emails which comes handy to send your word across, which I enjoy a lot as typing letters and articles is one of my hobbies and until and unless I type one or two, I don’t find solace”!

dhawanbm, there is one rule i follow for my mobile usage. it is for 'my' convenience, not others'...otherwise they become a nusance and invade ur privacy...thanks for a nice blog

zuna, mobiles are a health hazard too
and it has been cited where its radiation is a health hazard and sometimes its battery may blast. The towers of MOBILE companies emit dangerous radiation and I find many small species of birds like little sparrow no more visible! may be due to its impact! what do you say?

I do not think it has gone to so serious level. Little sparrows are still visible at other places. These radiations are harmful, but we are also getting adapted to it. In any case average span of life for people is increasing only...

Pixhatter, I totally disagree with you about the effect of mobile radiation on birds!
As the GSM microwaves that are emitted by the mobile towers has a severe impact on the life around them. Although radiation is of very low intensity yet it affects all kinds of life form due to long term exposure to base station radiation (MOBILE TOWERS). Radiation emitted heats biological tissue thus altering efficiency of body’s thermoregulation mechanism. Let me enlighten you about the fact that among the most thermally vulnerable areas of our body are eyes, testes etc. Exposure can lead to cataract formation, reduced sperm count, low libido etc. These conditions are well documented due to acute exposure to radiations.
Animals and Birds too show signs of physiological and behavioral changes due to constant exposure to radiation. Indications of biological alteration and noxiousness of these GSM microwaves radiation has a definite effect on animals too, like reduced milk yield, emaciations, spontaneous abortions, still births etc.
You will be surprised to know that ‘The little sparrow’ has been vanishing ever since the mobiles and towers have sprung up in domestic vicinity due to all these effects.
