My Special Mother´s Day
Although I am mother for four years, I have celebrated Mother´s Day first time this year. My son was born with Cerebral Palsy. He is beautiful, clever kid, but he started to talk only half year before. He cannot walk, so he attends centre for handicapped children. I used to get some flowers from my husband on Mother´s Day, but this year my son prepared surprise for me.
Mother’s Day is on 11 of May, but because it is very difficult to prepare some program with such children, we celebrated it last week. It was first time, my son has performance before strange people. He sat in his armchair in the middle of the room and recited short poem that I will probably remember forever:
I am only four
But I know
How important day
Is today
This little flower
Is for you, mother
And when I lie down to the bad
The biggest kiss is for you.
I was so touched. But I will also remember words of one girl : “In the day and in the night, you are always near to help me.”, because, they are really truthful.
It was firs time, I got flower from my son. It was also first surprise for me from him. Now I know how wonderful feeling is to be mother.

Zuna you are a brave mother
I feel happy to hear that you are very happy with your child and his progress. It takes a great mum to help her child develop the way your son has. My best wishes to you and your baby.
thank you Shobhan
you are right, it is always better for children when mother is happy.
Best wishes for you, too.
