The Bar You Know
I've just discovered that there's an art to selecting the bar you can be comfortable with.
Not every bar is for everyone. You might like certain things about a bar. The atmosphere, decor, prices - whatever, but whether that bar is a place for you is something different.
I say this because for a long time I was uncomfortable with the places I was going to.
My favourite place for over 16 years had closed down and the search for a new ' home ' had began some time ago.
I just found this place and so now I know not every bar is for you the individual.
This new place I found touches every bar nerve within me. I am comfortable, the people are right ( and polite ), the prices are agreeable, the music is my kind ( like it or not ) - and so this place is for me.
So, now, at age 57, I have discovered that not every bar is for everyone no matter how liberal we consider ourselves.
More important - I now have a new home.

The bar of your choice
I agree with you that not every bar can suit one's taste. One thing's for sure, one has to feel at home in a bar, because one tends to spend a lot of time either alone or with friends. A bar is also a public place where one might go to unwind from the day's stress so it has to have the right ambience to do so.
