Other non-veral factors

In my previous article I explained how certain non-verbal factors influence your oral communication. In this article we are going to further explore the other non-verbal factors which influence your oral communication effectiveness.

1. BODILY MOVEMENTS:
Your bodily movements conveys meaning and attracts attention. You can intensify your audience's interst i your talk b using bodily movements appropriately. But becareful that your bodily movements do not attract attention away from th topic of the speech which you are giving.

2. MANNERISMS:
Aviod swaying your body back or forth or from side to side. Do not do things like fidget with your clothing or play with your hair. Every gesture and movement which you make should be purposeful and functional.

3. VOICE:
The quality of your voice plays an imporatant role in your communication. Your voice may influence your listeners positively or negatively, therefore you should make the best of your voice.
