Oral communication part one

Oral communication is something which does not come naturally to everybody. For some people it is a challenge, while for others find it easy to do.

Yet, this is an imporatant skill which you need to develop no matter who you are. You speak to people everyday. Often it is not what you say, but how you say it that akes all the difference.

Oral communication is made up of two main factors. These factors are verbal factors and non-verbal factors. For the purposes of this article, we will focus on non-verbal factors.

Non-verbal factors are factors that influence an audience. The following are examples of non-verbal factors:

1. POSTURE:
The best advice which I can give you is to stand tall. Do not allow yourself to seem sluggish.

2. GROOMING AND YOUR YOUR APPEARENCE:
There aren't any rules for this. Make sure that your apparel is appropriat for the occasion and for the audience.

3. GESTURES:
Gestures can be expressive and effective, but make sure tht you do not use them too much.Find a balace.

4. TONE OF VOICE:
Make sure that your tone is a lively and intersting one. Do not sound boring or dull. This will bore your audience. As I've said before, it is often not what you say, but how you say it that makes all the difference.
