Do We Have the Freedom to Talk and Write?

Some times, I wonder whether we have the real freedom to write and talk with free expression in a democratic country like India. The freedom to proceed legally restricts us to talk and write freely. In the present days, we often see people proceeding legally on a person against his writing or speech on certain issues. Their freedom to go legally make us freedom less to write or talk.
All great people who had talked about controversial matters had to sacrifice a lot to emphasis their views. The great persons like Jesus, Mohamed Nabi and Buddha said many new things, which were not acceptable by the people of their time.
If you think deeply you will understand that no one can say something is right or wrong. There is nothing in the world, which is wrong or right. Something, which appears to be right for you, may appear to be wrong for another. For instance, The Americans’ spending so many billions of dollars on space research may be viewed as something wrong by a country wherein people are starving
Once when Jawaharlal Nehru (Ex prime minister of India) was traveling in his car he was stopped by a group of angry men, They said, “You told India would become a rich land after Independence, but now after so many years, we are still suffering, we do not find any difference.”
Nehru calmly said, “My dear men, it will take a few more years to reach that level. However, you could now stop the Prime Minister of this country and question him that was not possible when we were under the British rule. .That is the difference”
Every citizen should have the freedom to write or talk. At the same time, we should avoid misusing this great tool of freedom. A society that has the freedom to write and talk freely is the real civilized one.

'hurt sentiments' of various
'hurt sentiments' of various groups brings down the freedom of expression of others. when someone expresses, egos are hurt. thus, the effort to crush the voice. the ego loves misery. thus, all the effort to curb expression.
Keep up the great work and keep visiting other blogs...
