survival Of The Fittest !!

Vikram and Dinu were two good friends and lived in a beautiful village-Sandesh.
Both friends were farmers by profession and used to share, sorrow and happiness together, including the yield from their crops field.
Although, Vikram and Dinu were partners and share profit and loss equally, there was a difference, between them. While Dinu was hard working, Vikram had the brain of business. So, the life was going smoothly and happily for them till a tragedy which turned Dinu’s life as a hell. One day when Dinu was working on a thresher machine, at his granary, his right hand got stuck between the teeth of machine and crushed. When Vikram took Dinu to hospital the doctors there had to amputate Dinu’s hand as they had no other option.
Losing a hand at such young age and for a hard working person like Dinu was a great shock. His future begins to look dark and hopeless. What would he do then to earn his living? What about his small kids? Who is going to give feed them? He really didn’t know anything. His brain had stopped working and he was very sad and disappointed.
Meanwhile his friend Vikram appeared in that apathetic scene. Like a good and true friend he told Dinu not to worry much as he was there helps him, still. That’s way Vikram helped and encouraged Dinu to fight back, and come to life once again. That was the year when the entire village had a bumper crops. Everyone at the village was happy and thanking god for such fortune. They were happy and preparing for a special festival called Sankranti, which was just two days away. The village headman (Mukhiya), at the other hand, made an announcement that on the occasion of Sankranti festival, there would be a bullock cart race. And whoever wins that competition would receive huge bag of money as a prize.
After that announcement the entire village gentry had had only one topic of discussion-who is going to win the race? There were only two persons in the village that had high stake against their names. The first person was Mohan-the younger brother of village’s headman and other was Dinu. But how could Dinu participate in that tough competition with single hand?!Really that was a tough question to answer. Realizing the situation Vikram stepped in and requested Dinu to participate in the race and encouraged him to win that race at any cost. Few cool words from a close friend helped Dinu to build up his sagging confidence once again. That was not matter of wining that particular race but adjusting to the race of life. Realizing that importance of race, Dinu agreed at last and won that race finally and of course with his single hand.
