Think Before You Start To Speak

It was ten years ago. I had just finished my studying at the grammar school. I did all final exams, but was not accepted to university yet. I had to start to work, because I need money and because there was high unemployment in our country I worked with men on the building-site. It was one of my hardest days. I was tired every evening and I did not know, what I will do in the future.

My only relax was sitting in coffee with my friends in the evenings. Once as I was drinking tea with my friends, my classmate from elementary school stopped by us and asked me, how am I. I raised my sad, tired eyes and I did not open my mouth yet, when one of my friends answered instead of me: “She is perfect! She has been just accepted for university.” I stared at him with surprise. It was not true! But I noticed that my classmate did not interest about my studying, she immediately started to talk about herself. Finally, I was thankful to my friend. I did not look as poor woman. My classmate would be glad to see me in such position.

You know, some people do not really interesting about you, when they ask how are you. Some just want to talk about themselves, but they want to look politely. Some search information for their gossips. And some want to make sure, they have still better life than others.

I know, there are lot of sincere people in the world. But sometimes is better to think before speaking.
