Close Loss

You might not believe this but it happened just about two hours ago.
I went into this casino downtown and for no real reason became convinced this machine was about to pay some real money. It was paying already but in lesser amounts so I played in about $ 600. until I ran out of cash. I only had about $ 20. left and this particular banknote was not being received by the machine obviously because it was too old.
So, quite disappointed, I left the casino and on my way down the street stopped at the bank and withdrew my last $ 200. from the account.
Sadddened by what had happened, I returned to the casino to play in my $ 200. in the same machine believing that after losing so much it would be a worthwhile risk trying to win a payout with my last $ 200.
I still believed the machine would give this payout.
I entered the casino and saw a young woman standing in front of the machine.
She had put in $ 20. and won $ 1,800. in a jackpot on the same machine I had been playing.
Can anybody guess what I feel right now ?
