Small Men's woes

Today, corruption is rampant and the small men, that is, the ordinary public, are at the losing end as depicted in the cartoon. The big men, that is, those at the top of the social strata, tend to get away with all forms of corporate crime through loop holes in the law that are in their favour. Due to this state of affairs the big men have no scruples in their dealings for they know how to weave their way out of sticky situations with the help of the more influential people around them who have indirect dealings with the big men themselves. Corruption has succeeded to raise its ugly head openly, without fear or shame. The attitude among the public now is that if the big men can do it, why can't we? This has created a situation where moral values are overlooked and many are of the impression that life is full of deceit and falsehood. This has become the philosophy of the day. The question that arises now is "what are we teaching the future generations? Is this what we want to leave as a legacy for our young?" Think dear readers, think.
