It has been sometime now since I penned anything in my blog. I have been waiting for the results of the article contest 2008. I do not worry much of the results frankly speaking but I wish to extend my heartiest congratulations to whosoever is declared the winner or winners. I doubt it would be me.

Looking over the vast expanse of greenery, scattered with flowers and fruits I thought about life itself. Life in all its splendour and beauty hides the ugliness of decay when something ages, dies and rots.

From the moment a child is born, it starts mind games. It learns that every time it cries its parent or grand parent will run to find out why. As it grows older it learns more sophisticated games that will benefit it. As time passes it learns how to use its mind to play tricks, to manipulate and organise its life so that it does not put itself at a disadvantage.

Just recently, I learned that many students are committing suicide in countries like Japan and India because they see no future with the results they obtain in Public Examinations.

The Earth and all in it, does not belong to any one man or beast. It belongs to a higher being which we all call The Almighty. Yet most of us, in fact all of us, claim to own something of It. Though The Almighty, is the Owner, He/She/It does not show or indicate total control of the Earth and Its resources directly.

Nothing can remain unresolved provided a person takes the moderate path. Any form of extremism is bad. One should not be too tolerant nor too intolerant. Likewise, one should be controlled but not too controlled.

This should be the case when one deals with people in the workplace, in public places or at home with friends and relatives.

We race and challenge with others to attain what satisfies us most. If there are children in the family, we get them to do the things they ought to do and so on and so forth.

Looking at this picture, I felt that I was in a world of my own, far away. No pollution, no worries and in total ignorant bliss. For once I felt a oneness with God. No heavy traffic to grapple with, no deadlines to meet at the workplace, no noisy neighbours to tolerate and no rat race to compete in. A life without woes.

My boss is a great lady. Why I say so may surprise most of you readers out there as the majority of us have bosses for whom we have little praise.
This boss of mine rushed to the aid of our food caterer's wife who collapsed and was admitted to the ICU as a result of a severe attack of asthma.

I was at my daughter's school this morning, when an old acquaintance happened to stop by, to leave her daughter at school, and we got into a conversation. Within that ten minute dialogue I came to understand her complaints about the teaching and medical professions.
