I personally learned this philosophy of life from the SOKA GAKKAI INTERNATIONAL (SGI) publication. I have already read some of their write ups on inner human revolution, happiness and world peace.

This story involves primarily the condition of my old aged father, Julian. I was his personal caregiver and my sister, Meredith, supports for his medical needs and food. This is how I wrote the story about title: THE ADVERSE CONDITION OF OLD AGE

When I was yet in my elementary, high school, and college, I used to have extreme tantrums. But, when I became professional and had stages of experience, I learned a lot what it is to become a nice person.

In my years in the seminary (1988-1989), I underwent small groups and big group processing of childhood experiences. I learned from the experiences of each one in the group.

My girl friend texted me many times already when it rains in their home province, Davao.

She teases me when it occassionally rains and gets cold she needs me in her side. She wants to simply hug and kiss me. I feel honored being a man to have been invited to stay beside her during cold hours. She said she just imagined hugging me for she needed warmth and company in her room.

Last Monday, May 26, 2008, my girlfriend whom I informed of my plight in the job search online had expressed her desire to send financial assistance so that I could pursue the preoccupation. She pittied me knowing that my sister is non-supported of my job hunting.

One might find me merciful and unfair for imprisoning a female pet cat inside my room. This act of hiding the female cat from the two male cats in our household has been done for almost a week now. This does not happen once, but the second time around since my female cat "Miming" turned one-year old on September 3, 2007.

Early morning of May 28,2008, I clashed with my sister. It all started with a very small issue. But, for her it was to no excuse when it fell to her net. When she gave orders for errand she usually missed to say it in a nice way. She could not even miss to say a name tag "stupid" to me. Almost always she convicts me of a crime "a failure" after any thing done in the errand.

If you have been to our family house, you will experience how impatient my own sister is. Right now, she presumes that I can follow her style of entering data to the computer through dictation. She knows the work well for she mastered it for years. To me, living with her is troublesome. It is better to predict the coming storm by the weather bureau.

Today, I have been busy with other priorities which were needless to say. Those were so private that I can not even give an inch to share.

There was the feeling of coping up with the time so that I could have more opinions at this blog spot. But, I came up with a re-assuring spirit that whatever the case might be, I should have done my very best.

At around 11:00 in the morning of May 8, 2008, our house helper went upstairs informing me that two men were were looking for me down stairs.

Right at that moment, I was so tensed waiting for the computer technician to come to do the check up of my sister's computer. I wished then it could be repaired before my sister comes home from out-of-town business.

If one succeeded with his/her mistake, it is considered a set back which is no more, no less. It is said to be a learning experience, a positive happening in disguise.

What one must do to learn from that mistake is to face it squarely. Admit that he/she missed the ride to a destination and people will admire for the honesty and courage.

Learn how to accept constructive criticisms. Remember, it takes time to master any skill. Nobody expects you to do everything right. So, do I.

However, they do expect you to be humble enough to accept advice when you are mistaken. The great inventors never looked at a failure in a negative way.

When I was in college, I had contributed a poem once to our school organ. But, my writing inclination was not fully developed. It all started when our English class initiated a writing contest in the forms of essay, poem, and feature writing.

My desperate search for a job as a caregiver has been reduced to the lowest term as I come to think that it is proper to find some work-from-home opportunities online through the internet.

At home, the persons who have time to use the computer are my sister and me. All they way, when problems with its use crop-up, the usual behavior of the two of us is to get panicked. There is a chain of action for my sister usually puts the blame on me when problems arise with its use and I become tensed, pressured, and suffer heartaches.

Some time in 2007, my sister was out of town for almost a week. Being his brother, I had been busy with computer work. I spent most of my time encoding texts for a resume and application letter for two job positions: caregiver and room attendant. Those were to be e-mailed to recruitment agencies inside and outside the Philippines.

In the morning of September 18, 1988, while almost done with my household chores, I heard a loud heavy sound as if something fell on the floor inside our house. Sensing odd,I rushed up the stairway and found inside my father lying on supine position with his left leg under his right leg. He was fainting, gasping, and agonizing.
